Akers’ Sing on, Sing Sweetly On was pub­lished in New York; Cin­cin­na­ti, Ohio; & Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois in 1879.

We spe­cu­late he might be John Mil­ton Ak­ers (1836–1899), a min­is­ter and po­et bur­ied in Saint Charles, Min­ne­so­ta.
