Biography

Benjamin was the son of Christ­ian Al­le­man, Sr., and Lou­isa Schneck, and hus­band of Char­lotte Lou­ise Ben­son.

During the Am­eri­can ci­vil war, he was a pri­vate in Com­pa­ny G, 35th Penn­syl­van­ia In­fantry (en­list­ed Ap­ril 18, 1861, dis­charged Oc­to­ber 29, 1862).

After the war, he was a min­is­ter, pos­si­bly Lu­ther­an, for 53 years.
