Biography

Lancelot was the son of Tho­mas An­drews and Jo­hane Bel­son.

He held a number of high po­si­tions in the Ang­li­can church dur­ing the reigns of Eliz­abeth I and James I. Among oth­er posts, he served as Bi­shop of Chi­ches­ter, of Ely, Win­ches­ter and Chi­ches­ter.
