Mary was the daugh­ter of min­is­ter Jo­si­ah Wash­ing­ton Bach­el­der and Car­ol­ine Ma­til­da Da­vis, and wife of Is­aac More­land High­tow­er (mar­ried De­cem­ber 1, 1846).
