Songs at­trib­uted to Bain have shown the lyr­icist as both M. M. Bain, and Mrs. M. M. Bain. It is un­clear is these are ac­tu­al­ly two in­di­vid­uals (hus­band and wife?) or if this is a print­ing er­ror.
