Biography

Maro was the hus­band of Ida W. Bart­lett.

He was a cho­ral con­duct­or, com­posed ma­ny po­pu­lar tunes, and wrote se­ver­al books on mu­sic.

As of 1905, he was di­rect­or of the Des Moines, Io­wa, Col­lege of Mu­sic.
