Biography

Belknap, a Har­vard Uni­vers­ity gra­du­ate (1762), was a Uni­tar­ian min­is­ter, his­tor­ian, au­thor, and a found­er of the Mas­sa­chu­setts His­to­ri­cal So­ci­ety.

He served pas­tor­ates in Do­ver, New Hamp­shire, and Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts.
