Biography

Belknap, a Har­vard Uni­ver­si­ty gra­du­ate (1762), was a Uni­ta­ri­an min­is­ter, his­to­ri­an, au­thor, and a found­er of the Mas­sa­chu­setts His­to­ri­cal So­cie­ty.

He served pas­tor­ates in Do­ver, New Hamp­shire, and Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts.
