Biography

Bridaine was edu­cat­ed at the Je­su­it col­lege of Avi­gnon, and the Se­mi­na­ry of the Roy­al Mis­sions of St. Charles of the Cross.

He was a fa­mous ora­tor, with an un­con­ven­tion­al, spon­ta­ne­ous preach­ing style.

In his day, he was one of the best known men in France. The Ca­tho­lic En­cy­clo­pe­dia has a de­tailed ar­ti­cle on him.
