Biography

Brink was the son of Pe­ter Brink and Jan­tien Brinks, and hus­band of Grace Stev­ens (mar­ried 1915).

In 1900, he gra­du­at­ed from Cal­vin Se­mi­na­ry, Grand Ra­pids, Mi­chi­gan.

Brink spent much of his life as a mis­sion­ary among the Na­va­jo peo­ple. He start­ed in To­hat­chi, New Mex­ico, in 1900, and lat­er worked in Toad­le­na and Farm­ing­ton.

He trans­lat­ed Bi­ble books and hymns in­to Navajo, wrote a Na­va­jo cat­e­chism, and trans­lat­ed Dutch po­et­ry and hymns in­to Eng­lish.
