Georg was the son of Christoffer Bronner (or Brunner) and Margareta Brodhagen.
He was noted as a sexton in Easter 1688. From Easter 1689 to Christmas 1719 he was organist at the Heiligen-Geist-Hospital in Hamburg.
He composed for the opera Gänsemarkt, Hamburg, 1693–1702. In 1699 he succeeded Dr. M. Cordes as opera director.
Of the seven operas that Bronner composed in part with Johann Mattheson and Johann Christian Schieferdecker, only the titles are known.
