Buck attended Bi­o­la Institute, La Mi­ra­da, Cal­i­for­nia; Whit­ti­er College, Los An­ge­les, Cal­i­for­nia; the Los An­ge­les Bible Seminary (BSM 1946); and San Gab­ri­el College (MA 1950).

Ordained in 1934, he pastored at the First Chris­tian Church in Ar­ling­ton, Cal­i­for­nia, for five years, at three other churches in Cal­i­for­nia, then at the First Chris­tian Church in Eu­gene, Or­e­gon, from 1960 until he retired. His works include:
