Born: Jan­ua­ry 16, 1948, Na­pier, Hawkes Bay, New Zea­land.

Chambers was edu­cat­ed at the Bi­ble Col­lege of New Zea­land and Auck­land Uni­ver­si­ty. He worked as a paint­ing con­tract­or and song writ­er, with ov­er 500 ti­tles to his cre­dit.
