Biography

Ednah was the daugh­ter of Sar­gent Smith Lit­tle­hale and Ed­nah Park­er Dow, and wife of por­trait ar­tist Seth Wells Che­ney (mar­ried 1853).

She is re­mem­bered as a suf­fra­gist, ci­vil rights ac­ti­vist, and ed­it­or.
