Biography

Copeland was edu­cat­ed at Ok­la­ho­ma Bap­tist Uni­ver­si­ty (BA) and South­west­ern Bap­tist Theo­lo­gic­al Se­mi­na­ry (MRE).

He served as min­is­ter of mu­sic and youth at a num­ber of Sou­thern Bap­tist con­gre­ga­tions in Tex­as and Ok­la­ho­ma, and, start­ing in 1970, at the Belle­vue Bap­tist Church in Hurst, Tex­as.

He is the au­thor of at least 50 hymns and tunes.
