Died: De­cem­ber 29, 1933, St. Pe­ters­burg, Flo­ri­da.

Buried: Oak Hill Ce­me­te­ry, Craw­fords­ville, In­di­ana.

Biography

After serv­ing in the Am­er­ican ci­vil war, Cop­page moved to Foun­tain Coun­ty, In­di­ana, in 1875.

He taught school in Hills­bo­ro and La­do­ga, and fi­nal­ly set­tled in Craw­fords­ville.

He opened a law of­fice and was a prac­tic­ing at­tor­ney for ma­ny years. He oft­en spent win­ters in Flo­ri­da.

Coppage was fa­mil­iar with ec­cle­si­as­ti­cal law and wrote books on the to­pic.
