Biography

Currier, a friend and dis­tant cou­sin of Fan­ny Cros­by, was a well known con­cert sing­er be­fore de­cid­ing to de­vote her en­er­gy to Gos­pel mu­sic.

She was a mem­ber of the Clar­en­don Street Bap­tist Church in Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts, un­til around 1904, when she moved to Spring­field, Mas­sa­chu­setts, and be­came as­so­ci­at­ed with the Res­cue Mis­sion there.

After her death, R. B. Cur­ri­er in Spring­field pub­lished a me­mo­ri­al edi­tion of her songs.
