Currier, a friend and distant cousin of Fanny Crosby, was a well known concert singer before deciding to devote her energy to Gospel music.
She was a member of the Clarendon Street Baptist Church in Boston, Massachusetts, until around 1904, when she moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, and became associated with the Rescue Mission there.
After her death, R. B. Currier in Springfield published a memorial edition of her songs.
