Biography

Devins was the son of John De­vins and Ann Ma­han.

He was edu­cat­ed at New York Uni­ver­si­ty (BA 1882, AM 1903); Un­ion Theo­lo­gic­al Se­mi­na­ry, New York Ci­ty (1887); Cen­tre Col­lege, Dan­ville, Ken­tuc­ky (DD 1901); and Hur­on Col­lege, London, On­tar­io (LLD, 1909).
