Died: Spring 1820, Woodstock, New York.
Edson was a blacksmith, and also owned a farm. After marrying in 1770, he sold his farm, then roamed about, probably teaching singing, for six years.
In 1776, he moved to New York. After the American revolution, he taught singing in Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut.
He moved to Woodstock, New York, in 1817.
