Biography

Elfåker stu­died at the Stock­holm Con­ser­va­tory of Mu­sic, gra­du­at­ing in 1877.

Beginning in 1881, he worked and taught mu­sic in Go­then­burg.

He emi­grat­ed to Am­eri­ca in 1885, where he was pri­ma­ri­ly ac­tive in Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois, as a choir di­rect­or and com­pos­er.

In the late 1890s, he re­turned to Stock­holm.
