Died: Sep­tem­ber 27, 1899, at his son’s home New­burgh, New York.

Buried: Bloom­field, New Jer­sey.

Biography

Ellor trained as a hat mak­er, but by age 18 was lead­ing the Wes­ley­an cha­pel choir. He lat­er be­gan work­ing for the rail­road be­ing built be­tween Godl­ey Junc­tion and Man­ches­ter.

He emi­grat­ed to Am­er­ica in 1843 and re­sumed the hat mak­ing trade.
