Died: September 27, 1899, at his son’s home Newburgh, New York.
Buried: Bloomfield, New Jersey.
Ellor trained as a hat maker, but by age 18 was leading the Wesleyan chapel choir. He later began working for the railroad being built between Godley Junction and Manchester.
He emigrated to America in 1843 and resumed the hat making trade.
