Biography

Silas was the son of John Farm­er and Rox­an­na Ha­mil­ton, and hus­band of Or­pha C. Lit­tle­field.

He became Ci­ty His­to­rio­gra­pher of De­troit, Mi­chi­gan, in 1882.
