Born: 1855, Al­ex­an­dria, Dum­bar­ton­shire, Scot­land.

Died: After 1904 (he was of­fi­ci­at­ing at North­cote, Vic­to­ria, Aus­tra­lia, as of 1905).

Biography

Shortly af­ter Fer­gu­son was born, his fa­mi­ly moved to Dum­bar­ton, then to Glas­gow, where he at­tend­ed the Uni­ver­si­ty.

In 1880, he en­tered the Theo­lo­gic­al Hall of the Unit­ed Pres­by­ter­ian Church, and in 1883 that of the Ev­an­ge­li­cal Un­ion Church.

On Oc­to­ber 15, 1884, he was in­duct­ed as min­is­ter of the Ev­an­ge­li­cal Un­ion Church at Ar­broath.

He re­signed that po­si­tion on Oc­to­ber 9, 1888, and the next year moved to Au­stra­lia.
