Biography

Christina was the daugh­ter of Tho­mas For­syth and Jean Camp­bell Ha­mil­ton. Her sib­lings in­clude Will­iam For­syth, Queen’s Coun­sel and some­time Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment for Cam­bridge; min­is­ter John Ha­mil­ton For­syth; and Doug­las For­syth, C.B., com­mis­sion­er of the Pun­jab in In­dia.

Works

During a long and pain­ful ill­ness, she com­posed se­ver­al hymns and po­ems which were is­sued as leaf­lets. These were col­lect­ed af­ter her death, and pub­lished in 1861 as Hymns by C. F.
