Born: 1535, Plau­en, Ger­ma­ny. Some sourc­es say 1539 or 1540.

Died: Au­gust 26, 1591, Zwick­au, Ger­ma­ny.

Pseudonym: Bon­ami­cus Freundt.

Biography

Freund was a can­tor in Bor­na, Sax­ony, and from 1565 at St. Ma­ry’s Church in Zwick­au.

He al­so taught at the town school in Zwick­au.
