Biography

Wellington was the son of Will­iam and Cyn­thia An­na Friz­zell, and hus­band of Car­rie Lou­isa War­ren (mar­ried April 19, 1900, Den­ver, Co­lo­ra­do).

He was edu­cat­ed at Il­li­nois Wes­ley­an Uni­vers­ity, Bloom­ing­ton, Il­li­nois (AB 1876, AM 1879); Drew Theo­lo­gic­al Se­mi­na­ry, Ma­di­son, New Jer­sey (BD 1881); Hed­ding Col­lege, Ab­ing­don, Il­li­nois (DD); and North­west­ern Uni­vers­ity, Ev­ans­ton, Il­li­nois (AB, AM). He be­came a trust­ee of North­west­ern Uni­vers­ity in 1900.

He served pas­tor­ates at va­ri­ous lo­ca­tions in Il­li­nois, and con­trib­ut­ed to re­li­gious and se­cu­lar pa­pers.
