Biography

Charles was the son of Au­gus­tus Good­rich and Hel­en Cor­bett. He mar­ried twice, to An­nie Young Shor­tle and Ly­dia Ma­ri­on Wheel­er.

A gra­du­ate of Wes­ley­an Uni­ver­si­ty in Mid­dle­town, Con­nec­ti­cut, he was a pro­fes­sor of mo­dern lang­uag­es at Mar­i­et­ta Col­lege, Ohio, as well as a cho­ris­ter and com­pos­er of church mu­sic.
