Biography

Louisa was the daugh­ter of John Park and Ag­nes Ad­ams, and wife of Ed­ward Brooks Hall, min­is­ter of the First Uni­ta­ri­an Church of Pro­vi­dence, Rhode Is­land (mar­ried Oc­to­ber 1, 1840).

She moved to Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts, af­ter her hus­band’s death in 1866. Ma­ny of her po­ems were pub­lished ano­ny­mous­ly in pe­ri­od­ic­als.
