Clarence G. Hamilton (1865-1935)

Hamilton at­tend­ed Brown Un­i­ver­si­ty (BA 1888, AM 1900, Phi Be­ta Kap­pa). He taught at a pri­vate prep­a­ra­to­ry school in Pro­vi­dence (1888-89), and taught mu­sic in Pro­vi­dence, chief­ly pi­a­no and the­o­ry (1889-1904). He was or­gan­ist and choir di­rect­or at sev­er­al church­es, con­trib­ut­ed ar­ti­cles to var­i­ous mu­sic­al jour­nals, and was sec­re­ta­ry of the North­east Chap­ter, Amer­i­can Guild of Or­gan­ists.
