Biography

Volney mar­ried twice: to Her­ma Jack­lyn Child­ress (Au­gust 26, 1919, De­Kalb, Ala­ba­ma) and Ida Lee Har­ris­on (1934).

He list­ed him­self as a mu­sic teach­er when he re­gis­tered for the World War I draft in 1917.
