Biography

Volney was the son of Jo­seph Har­ris­on and Ida South. He mar­ried twice: to Her­ma Mae Jack­lyn Child­ress (Au­gust 26, 1919, De­Kalb, Ala­ba­ma) and Ida Lee Har­ris­on (1934).

He gave his oc­cu­pa­tion mu­sic teach­er when he re­gis­tered for the World War I draft in 1917.
