Biography

Howard is the hus­band of Gal­ia Har­ring­ton (mar­ried 2009).

He gra­du­at­ed from Ochey­e­dan High School, Ochey­e­dan, Io­wa. He pur­sued Lin­guis­tic and Li­ter­ary Stu­dies at Lu­ther Col­lege, De­cor­ah, Io­wa (BA 1975; one of his teach­ers was Gra­cia Grin­dal); and Com­par­a­tive li­te­ra­ture at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Io­wa, Io­wa Ci­ty, Io­wa.

He worked as a Pro­gram­mer An­al­yst for the Aus­tin Com­mu­ni­ty Col­lege Dis­trict, Aus­tin, Tex­as, from 2005 un­til re­tir­ing in 2020.
