Biography

John was the son of John W. B. Hawk­ins and Sue Vir­ginia Mc­Ca­leb, and hus­band of Sa­ra Ef­fie Win­go (mar­ried De­cem­ber 25, 1910, Ma­di­son Coun­ty, Ala­ba­ma).

Credits pub­lished with his mu­sic for When the Clouds Have Passed Away show him in Steele pre­cinct, St. Clair Coun­ty, Ala­ba­ma, in 1914.
