Heape was a min­is­ter. His Heav’n Is Com­ing Near­er was co­py­right­ed in 1894, and pub­lished in Cleve­land, Ohio, in 1903.

We spe­cu­late he might have been Frederick Etherington Heape (1844–1922), who is bur­ied in Brid­ling­ton, York­shire, Eng­land. A sing­ing evan­gel­ist, he was des­cribed by some as the San­key of Me­thod­ism.
