Biography

Heywood at­tend­ed the Roy­al Aca­de­my of Mu­sic, and played the or­gan at St. Jude’s, Birm­ing­ham (1863); St. Ma­ry’s, As­ton, Brook (1864); St. Mar­ga­ret’s, Ward End (1865); and St. Paul’s, Bal­sall Heath (1866).

He was the or­gan­iz­ing Choir­mas­ter for the Church Chor­al As­so­cia­tion for the Arch­dea­con­ry of Co­ven­try (1871–95), and ed­it­ed the An­gli­can Psal­ter Not­ed, 1864.
