Biography

A found­er of the Am­eri­can Guild of Or­gan­ists, Charles Tay­lor Ives was born in Brook­lyn, NY, in 1864, and served at va­ri­ous times as or­gan­ist of Em­ma­nu­el Bap­tist Church (Brook­lyn), First Con­gre­ga­tion­al Church (Mont­clair, NJ), the Bap­tist Tem­ple (Brook­lyn), and Clas­son Ave­nue Pres­by­ter­ian Church (al­so in Brook­lyn).

He co-edited two hym­nals with R. Hunt­ing­ton Wood­man. He served as na­tion­al trea­sur­er of the AGO, 1901-09.
