Biography

Jamouneau came from a Hu­gue­not line in the Poi­tou re­gion of France. In 1897, he mar­ried Eva Maw­er in , Lin­coln­shire; at the time, he was list­ed as a Pro­fess­or of Mu­sic in Kings­ton up­on Hull.

Jamouneau es­tab­lished him­self as a pub­lish­er and com­pos­er, put­ting out ov­er 150 works, from hymns to a full op­era.
