Biography

William was the son of Hen­ry Daw­son Jeff­coat and Eu­nice Fran­ces Swaf­ford.

He was edu­cat­ed at Ita­wam­ba Com­mu­ni­ty Col­lege; Mem­phis State Uni­ver­si­ty; Freed-Har­de­man Col­lege, Hen­der­son, Ten­nes­see; and the Hard­ing Gra­du­ate School of Re­li­gion (now the Hard­ing School of Theo­lo­gy), Memp­his, Ten­nes­see.
