Biography

Jozé earned a Doc­tor of Mu­sic de­gree from Trin­ity Col­lege, Dub­lin, Ire­land.

In 1871, he won a prize in a com­po­si­tion com­pe­ti­tion spon­sored by the Lon­don No­ble­men’s and Gen­tle­men’s Catch Club.
