Buried: Ma­di­son Street Ce­me­te­ry, Ha­mil­ton, New York. There is al­so a ce­no­taph for Emi­ly and her hus­band on Bu­ri­al Hill, Ply­mouth, Mas­sa­chu­setts.

Biography

Emily was the daught­er of Charles Chub­buck and La­vin­ia Rich­ards, and third wife of mis­sion­ary Ado­ni­ram Jud­son (mar­ried 1846).

Born into a poor fa­mi­ly, she was self-edu­cat­ed.

Shortly af­ter mar­ry­ing, she and Ado­ni­ram sailed to Bur­ma (now My­an­mar). She re­turned to Am­eri­ca af­ter his death in 1850.
