Biography

Educated at Glas­gow Uni­ver­si­ty, Kel­ly stu­died theo­lo­gy at Bonn (1852–54); New Col­lege, Ed­in­burgh (1856–67); and the Theo­lo­gic­al Col­lege of the Eng­lish Pres­by­te­ri­an Church in Lon­don.

He served con­gre­ga­tions in Heb­burn-on-Tyne and Strea­tham, and as of 1887 was Tract Ed­it­or of the Re­li­gious Tract So­cie­ty.
