Biography

Jacob was the son of Ja­cob Kim­ball and Pris­cil­la Smith.

He gra­du­at­ed from Har­vard Col­lege in 1780. He stu­died law with Judge Wet­more of Sa­lem, Mas­sa­chusetts, and was ad­mit­ted to the bar in Straf­ford, New Hamp­shire, in 1795.

He taught mu­sic in ma­ny New Eng­land towns, com­pos­ed vocal mu­sic, and wrote a lit­tle po­et­ry.
