Biography

Lamb was the son of Alon­zo Pierce Lamb and Lu­cin­da F. Hack­ett. He mar­ried twice, to Ma­ry A. Bon­ney and Ma­ble C. Bar­rows.

Lamb stu­died voice in Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts (1877–80), then en­tered the ev­an­gel­ism field.

He led sing­ing in ev­an­gel­is­tic ser­vic­es with Rev­er­end C. C. Frost, and con­duct­ed sing­ing at con­ven­tions and spe­cial meet­ings in Mas­sa­chu­setts, Con­nec­ti­cut, New York, Min­ne­so­ta, and Mis­sou­ri.

After serv­ing as as­sist­ant pas­tor in Low­ell, Mas­sa­chu­setts, he was or­dained and served in Mount Ver­non, New York; Maine; and Mas­sa­chu­setts. He re­tired in 1937, af­ter serv­ing the Bap­tist church at Mech­an­ic Falls, Maine, for 13 years.
