Euna was the daughter of Steuben Lay and Martha Hubbard Wright.
The public library in Westbrook, Connecticut, has four journals and five scrapbooks of her work that her sister donated in 1910.
Said to have been an invalid with spinal problems, Lay wrote poetry, verse and stories, most of them published in religious papers and journals of her time. They also appeared in the local papers.
