Euna was the daughter of Steuben Lay and Martha Hubbard Wright. Said to have been an invalid with spinal problems, she wrote poetry, verse and stories, most of them published in religious papers and journals of her time. They also appeared in the local papers. The public library in Westbrook, Connecticut, has four journals and five scrapbooks of her work that were donated in 1910 by her sister. Euna’s works include:
