LeClere was a min­is­ter.

An in­ter­view with a Rev. George A. Le­clere in Voic­es of the Am­eri­can West: The Set­tler and Sol­dier In­ter­views of Eli S. Rick­er 1903–1919, by Ri­chard E. Jen­sen, 2005, page 368, stated Le­Clere was liv­ing in Grand Junc­tion, Co­lo­ra­do, in 1909, and had been in the ar­my in 1864.
