Biography

Lippincott ne­ver mar­ried. She spent most of her life in Penn­syl­van­ia, at­tend­ing a Friends’ (Qua­ker) high school and Swarth­more Col­lege.

Known as the Qua­ker Po­et­ess, she is said to have writ­ten ov­er 4,000 po­ems and sac­red songs.
