Biography

Adlai was the son of Si­mon Na­tha­ni­el Lou­dy and Mol­lie Eli­za­beth Cart­wright, and hus­band of Do­na Bell Od­em.

He was a not­ed ev­an­gel­ist, sing­er, and Gos­pel song writ­er. In 1914, he was liv­ing in Green­ville, South Ca­ro­li­na.

Starting in the 1920s, he and his wife Do­na tra­veled through­out the east­ern Unit­ed States and Ca­na­da.
