Biography

George was the son of John­son Ly­on and Eli­za­beth De­la­ney Bunt, and hus­band of Nan­cy Ade­line Nan­nie Will­iams.

During the Am­eri­can ci­vil war, he was a band­mas­ter and com­pos­er for the 42nd Georg­ia Re­gi­ment.

Works

He is some­times con­fused with George Wash­burn Lyon (1825–1894), co-found­er of the Wash­burn Gui­tar Com­pa­ny in Chi­cago, Il­li­nois.
