Biography

Henry was the son of G. Mar­tin, Chan­cel­lor and Ca­non of Exe­ter.

He at­tend­ed Eton and Christ Church, Ox­ford (BA 1855), and was or­dained in 1856.

He served as cur­ate of Hal­low (near Wor­ces­ter), and be­came vic­ar of Lax­ton in 1858. He held that post un­til re­sign­ing in 1898.
