Born: 1858, near West Sa­lem, Ohio.

Died: March 13, 1915, pos­si­bly in Mc­Kees­port, Penn­syl­van­ia. At the time of his death, he was mod­er­a­tor of the Red­stone Pres­by­te­ry.

Biography

McCauley at­tend­ed the Na­tion­al Nor­mal Uni­ver­si­ty, Ohio (BA 1883, LittD 1893), and Lane Theo­lo­gic­al Se­mi­na­ry, Cin­cin­na­ti, Ohio (1886).

The Pres­by­te­ry of Cin­cin­na­ti li­censed him in 1885, and he was or­dained the next year by the Pres­by­te­ry of Day­ton, Ohio.

He served the Park Pres­by­ter­ian Church in Day­ton (1886–91); Wayne Ave­nue Pres­by­ter­ian Church, Day­ton (1891–94); the 5th Pres­by­te­ri­an Church, To­le­do, Ohio (1895–?); and First Church, Mc­Kees­port, Penn­syl­va­nia (1911 until his death).

He was pre­si­dent of the Ohio Chris­tian En­dea­vor Un­ion (1895); vice pre­si­dent of the World’s C. E. Un­ion; lec­tur­er at Lane Theo­lo­gic­al Se­mi­na­ry (1893); ed­it­or in the Wor­ker’s Train­ing De­par­tment, and of The Out­look.
