Henry was the son of Roland Jackson and Augusta Ann Entrekin, and husband of Lydia Young (married May 28, 1905).
As of 1913, he was in Mt. Roszell, Limestone County, Alabama.
He studied Sacred Harp under Thomas Jackson Denson, and was on several Sacred Harp music committees. He chaired the United Sacred Harp Convention in 1957.
